Past Two Weeks

Last week we were busy learning about shapes and their attributes.  We created shape posters with partners to sort shapes. 

We also learned about using our background knowledge to help us create mental images when reading.

We were excited to begin a new unit on plants and plant our own seeds. 

This week we were excited to see our plants growing!

We had fun celebrating Red Ribbon Week and Halloween this week!

Thank you to all the Grandpal's who visited us today!  It was a special day for us all!

Volcanoes

We have enjoyed learning about volcanoes over the past few weeks!  We have learned how volcanoes are formed, the types of volcanoes, how volcanoes erupt, the parts of a volcano, and much much more!  We documented our learning in our "United States" Notebook.  We also created a volcano out of clay and used baking soda and vinegar to make the volcano erupt.  Ask your child what they've learned about volcanoes!
